Character Close-Up is a feature dedicated to the personal connections cosplayers have with the characters they bring to life. Whether it’s your comfort character, a childhood hero, someone who helped you through a hard time, or just a design you couldn’t resist, this is your space to tell us why that cosplay mattered to you.

This isn’t about accuracy or craftsmanship. It’s about meaning—the emotional spark that made you say, “Yes. That’s the one.” Your submission doesn’t have to be long—just a paragraph or two about why you chose this character is enough. We’re looking for heart, not perfection.
